Tear Trough Rejuvenation

Tear troughs are the grooves where the upper cheek and under eye meet. With ageing, changes to the skin, fat and bone beneath this area can increase the appearance of shadows and hollowing.  Other contributing factors, like genetics, weight loss and smoking can bring about these changes earlier. Injectable dermal fillers are used to rejuvenate the lower lid and correct the tear trough area.

What does this procedure involve?

Two small entry points are made in either side of the face. A blunt and rounded needle (microcannula) is used to administer dermal filler specifically formulated for this delicate region of the face.  This filler is known as Teosyal Redensity II and contains hyaluronic acid and a dermo-restructing complex of vitamins and amino acids making it a revolutionary product for undereye rejuvenation.

Are there any side effects?

There may be some mild bruising around the entry point, however, this normally disappears around 48 hours later. Some people may experience minor contour irregularities. Once any swelling has subsided, these can be massaged down with your index finger to smoothen out any tiny lumps or unevenness.

What will happen at my consultation?
