Botox is used medically to treat certain muscular conditions, and cosmetically to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and fine lines. It is made from a purified protein that is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.

How do BOTOX® injections work?

There are a combination of factors that can cause the appearance of facial lines. Factors such as sun exposure, ageing  and repetitive muscle contractions from facial expressions can cause the skin to fold and wrinkle.

BOTOX® is a simple 10 minute treatment that targets the facial muscles beneath the surface of the skin by blocking the nerves that contract muscles, softening the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
