Pebble Chin

Pebble chin, also know as orange peel chin, is a condition caused by excessive flexing of the chin muscles. For those with this condition it appears that their chin is bumpy and uneven. This condition is easily treated with Botox injections which relax the chin muscles that cause the uneven and bumpy appearance.

If the shape of your chin has changed too, then Botox can be used in combination with fillers to fill in areas that have lost volume over time. Typically, we start to see “pockets” or concavity on both sides of the chin just below the corners of the mouth. This can give the area around the mouth an aged and hollow appearance. By adding a touch of volume here in combination with Botox in the mentalis muscle, you can regain a softer, fuller and more youthful contour in your lower face.

What does this procedure involve?

Your clinician will assess the texture and firmness of the chin while the person contracts the mentalis muscle.Once the strength and exact location of this chin muscle are identified,Botox can be precisely injected into several parts of the chin.

When do I see results and are there any side effects?

The results will take 3-14 days to take full effect. There is no down time to this procedure, in fact people can return to their daily activities after their visit.
